China Glaze, Recycle

Hello readers!!
Today I was bored and the weather over here was (and still is) terrible!!
So I decided to stay in and started doing a grey manicure. My favorite grey is Recycle by China Glaze and I used it as a base!

To finish it off I used OPI's Suzie Skies in the Pyrenees Suede in the middle and H&M Silver at the end of the nails!





Although I don't have a steady hand to create perfect lines I like it!
It isn't a lot of work but is different from the standard mani.
I didn't use a topcoat so you can see the diversity in finishes.

Essence Creamylicious, Chocolate Shake

Hello everyone, enjoying the weekend?!

After the bright blue manicure from the last few days, I felt like something darker.
So here it is, Chocolate Shake from the Essence Creamylicious limited edition.
This is a brown polish with bronze/reddish shimmer. Too bad you can't see hardly any shimmer on the nails...I looks more like a creme only in (sun)light you can see the shimmer. Anyway I still think the color is very nice!!


I made this picture just before going to work. So it was a quicky :)

Misa, Right Here Now..No More Later

Hi Everyone!
I wish it was weekend already...
It's been very hectic at work (5 days already and 1 to go) and I had a migraine yesterday and I'm still recovering from it...so the manicure I'm about to show is a few days old and it ain't very pretty :')

Right Here Now..No More Later is a bright blue creme. I Love the color, it makes me happy! It seems like I'm wearing the sky on my nails!


It's kinda weird because it looks like I'm wearing 2 different colors (index & middle versus ring & pinkie) ...but that's not the case!!
Index and middle are most accurate!

I also made a picture inside..just for fun. You can see it's totally different from daylight.

This color is really awesome, too bad I couldn't make better pictures!
Hopefully tomorrow some new photos.

Essie Funky Limelight

This polish doesn't need much explanation, this is an incredible neon yellow! Released in summer of 2009 in the Essie Neon collection.

The formula of this quick drying polish is great. It's thin, smooth and flawless!!
I did 3 coats trying to make it opaque, though it wasn't totally.
Because I had to work and the neon is very bright, I decided to do a Konad.
I used plate M57 and Konad Black Pearl polish.

I think it looks fierce, don't mess with me :D

Sailor Ahoy

I noticed that OPI isn't on my blog!! *woops*
So today I wanted a quick OPI mani...Quick is matte and the only OPI matte I have is Russian Navy so there you go!

The mani is just one coat

I don't like the finish, you can see every flaw on the nails.
To make it pretty I decided to finish it with a top coat!




Wow! I love it!! Much better than the matte version!
But I also wanted to use Essie's Matte About You, to see how this turns out!


Yes, this is the way I like to see my nails. Flawless and smooth!
I don't think I will buy other mattes from OPI because I don't like the formula that much. I like the suedes though!!

LA Girl Rock Star, Headbanging

*Yawn* It's almost 2:45 am and I'm watching the 1500m Men's Iceskating at the Olympic Oval..I'm tired but I felt like watching!
During the ice-cleaning-break I swatched another LA Girl polish.
I proudly present: Headbanging!


Headbanging is a great shimmery teal with the same kind of shiny particles as Groupie I showed you previously.
It looks awesome in bright light because it really sparkles!


I did the swatch in 2 coats..it isn't entirely opaque but good enough for tonight, I guess :)

LA Girl Rock Star, Groupie

Hellooo!! Hope your day was a bit more exciting than mine...!
Today I'm wearing one of the LA Girl Rockstar polishes.
[By the way, The Rock Star collection is awesome!!]
This one is called Groupie and is a beautiful purple with shiny particles. It's a duochrome that changes from purple into blue with tiny gold en red shades. A bit hard to explain, too bad I don't have a picture in bright sunlight!


I could do the manicure in one coat but I used two. The drying time of Groupie is a little longer than most polishes I own...but hey this color is so great I don't even care!!! At the moment this is my favorite Purple!!

I tried my best, but It was very difficult to make color-true pictures. Hope that wintertime will be over soon, so we can enjoy the sun and make better photos!

NOTD and New Layout

Hello Everyone!

Today I worked from 9am till 9pm and because I'm tired I only wanted you to show my NOTD which is Stellar by China Glaze.
I'm sorry about the bad picture..it's yuck and doesn't do Stellar justice. In real life it is a pretty color!!! The mani is 2 coats.




Yesterday my boyfriend and I finally finished finetuning my new blog-layout. It took some time, but I think it kicks ass!! Love the stars very much! What do you think of my new layout?

Misa Love

Today I want to show you a Misa polish! I really like Misa!
I'm not a pink person but hey, even I can't resist...


This is "I'm Going To Love Myself" from the Fall 2009 I'm Only Human Collection. It's a bright but cool purple/pink creme, and it is very nice on my skintone..
The manicure is 2 coats but could get away with one!




My camera had a little problem with capturing the true color..The first picture is most accurate!

I also had some time to do a quick Konad.
It's plate M65 with Konad Pearl Black polish.

H&M Mad About You

This beautiful light purple polish is from H&M. I just got it from Carina, so thank you very much!! It is called Mad About You and yes I'm mad about it!!!
It has a holo vibe, like the OMG collection from China Glaze.
Normally I wouldn't finish it with a topcoat...but unfortunately I have to work tomorrow and as you can see I don't have much nails left :') So at least the polish looks nice and unharmed!!


All pictures were taken inside...It's dark outside so this is the best I can show for now.


Ohw, and for the shiny fingers...I gave my cuticles some oil and they loved it!!



The application was very good!! I didn't expect it to be this flawless...just one coat would be enough. This mani is 2 coats though.

Cashmere Cardigan

Cashmere Cardigan is een kleur uit de ORLY prepster spring collectie van afgelopen jaar. Het is een mooie zacht blauwe kleur die, meestal door mannen, als paars wordt aangeduid :')

Cashmere Cardigan is a color from the ORLY prepster spring collection 2009. It is a nice, soft blue which, often by men, is mixed up with purple :')

Zelfs met mijn erg lichte huidskleur ziet deze blauw er erg flatterend uit!
Het is op dit moment mijn enige ORLY kleur maar het lakt zo fijn dat er binnenkort meer in mijn bezit komen!

Even with my very light skintone this blue looks very flattering!!
At the moment it's my only ORLY polish but in the near future I will own some more!

Dorothy Who?!

Een paar weken geleden was het dan zover. De lang verwachte re-release van de China Glaze collectie 'The Wizzard of Ooh Ahz' was een feit. Onder andere Ruby Pumps (dé rode glitter klassieker) maakt hier deel van uit. Mijn persoonlijke hoogtepunt is Dorothy Who? !! Een geweldige blauwe glitter lak! Ik moest en zou die kleur hebben, aangezien ik de release van de collectie indertijd niet heb meegemaakt en de lak al jaren niet meer te verkrijgen was.

Gelukkig kon ik de kleur meteen bij Transdesign(.com) bestellen en toen was het wachten op het pakketje.

Bij aankomst was ik meteen sprakeloos!

De lak is makkelijk smeerbaar, echter vond ik de swatch net iets te doorschijnend met 2 laagjes. Vandaar dat ik dan ook maar meteen een hele manicure met D.W? heb gedaan in 3 laagjes!! Ik heb er 2 laagjes Seche Vite topcoat overheen gelakt om de finish wat minder rauw te maken. Je voelt de glitters namelijk echt zitten op de lak.

De kleur is echt fantastisch...dus iedereen die van blauw houdt moet deze in de collectie hebben......Iedereen die niet van blauw houdt moet deze óók
in de collectie hebben!!!

A few weeks ago it was time for the re-release of the amazing China Glaze Collection 'The Wizard Of Ooh Ahz'. Including the red classic Ruby Pumps. My personal favorite is 'Dorothy Who?' a stunning blue glitter! Because this polish is a must have, I was glad Transdesign(.com) is selling this collection. I ordered it and was shocked when I got it!

The application is nice and I did the manicure with 3 coats, on top of that 2 layers of Seche Vite topcoat because the polish is very rough. You could feel every glitter!
I really love this colour, I love the glitter..so everyone who loves blue, please buy it....everyone who doesn't, please buy it! It's a Must have!
